THE ABDF MUSIC DEPARTMENT
Established in 2001, the ABDF Band still remains the pride of the CDS and the entire force. The bandmaster is Captain Bernard Duplessis. It’s service and loyalty to the country have proven to be excellent through its motto, “Serving through Music,” bringing joy and contentment to its listeners. This military band is comprised of approximately 90% volunteer membership. Some have had 40 years of experience playing and performing extensively.

the band is 30 members strong
Serving through Music
The ABDF Band has a wide repertoire by which to aligned itself in any social or ceremonial events with a common belief that practice does make perfect. Such instilled discipline in each member has brought about the wonderful results at every military and public performance. Presently, the band is 30 members strong and also has a good relation with other musicians who are friends of the ABDF Band. The ABDF Band seeks prospective members who play a brass instrument and have a competent reading ability. We are not necessarily hard on those who are a bit weak in reading for we have experts who will assist you accordingly and help to develop that skill.
